Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Selection Procedure and mode of selection for Central Police Forces (CPF) Assistant Commandants (AC) Recruitment Examination are given in below paragraphs..
UPSC CPF (AC) Selection Process Details:
The UPSC Central Police Forces (CPF) Assistant Commandants (AC) selection will be consist in 3 stages as followings:
1. Written Examination
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Medical Standards Test
1. Written Examination: There will be two papers in the UPSC CPF (AC) Examination as followings:
Paper-I: General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type) – 250 Marks: The UPSC CPF (AC) Paper-I will consist of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type Questions and questions will be set in English as well as Hindi. There will be negative marking and 1/3rd (0.33) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Paper-II: Essay, Precis writing and comprehension (Conventional Type) – 200 Marks: The UPSC CPF (AC) Paper-II will be consist of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communication/ language skills will be in English.
2. Physical and Medical Standards Test: To be conducted only of candidates who qualify the written examination, will be called for Physical and Medical Standards Tests. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Details are given below:

3. Interview: The Qualified candidates in Medical Standards will be called for Personal Interview. Candidates who are shortlisted for Interview / Personality Test, including those short-listed for Interview / Personality Test provisionally will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which among other things, they will be required to indicate their preference of services. Both Males and Females are eligible for CISF and CRPF. For SSB, BSF and ITBP only Male candidates are eligible. The Final Interview will carry 150 Marks.
