UPSC CPF (AC) Exam Eligibility Criteria and Details
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Eligibility Criteria for Central Police Forces (CPF) Assistant Commandants (AC) Recruitment Examination details are given in below paragraphs..
Nationality: A Candidate should be a Citizen of India.
Age Limits: A Candidate age should be between 20 to 25 years as on 1st August of the year of examination. Certain categories of persons including departmental candidates are eligible for age relaxation as followings:
- 5 years age relax-able for SC, ST candidates.
- 3 years age relax-able for OBC candidates.
- 5 years age relax-able for civilian central Government servants in according with the existing instructions of the Central Government, Ex-service men will also be eligible for this relaxation.
- 5 years age relax-able if a candidate had ordinally been domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to the 31st day of December 1989.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have minimum Degree in any discipline of a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.
Note: Candidates appearing in the degree exam are allowed to appear at the exam but are required to submit proof of passing along-with the Detailed Application Forms which are to be submitted after qualifying the written test, medical standards test and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET),
Restrictions: Both Males and Females are eligible for CISF and CRPF. For SSB, BSF and ITBP only Male candidates are eligible. The candidates who has been finally selected in earlier examination to the post of CPF (Assistant commandants) will not be Eligible for this Exam.
Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Examination.
