SSC Sr/ Jr Translator/ JHT & Hindi Pradhyapak Selection Process
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Selection Process for Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices) and Hindi Pradhyapak (in Central Hindi Training Institute) and Senior/Junior Translators in Ministry of Defence Examination are given below..
SSC Junior Hindi Translator Selection Process: The examination will consist of two parts, viz.
- Part-I: Written Examination carrying 400 marks; and
- Part-II: Personality Test (Interview) carrying 100 Marks.
Part-I – Written Examination: The Written Examination will consist of two papers. Paper-I will consist of Objective Type – Multiple choice questions and Paper- II will be (Conventional Type) only. Each paper will carry 200 Questions for 200 Marks. Total Duration / Timing for General candidates will be 2 Hours; and Total Duration/ Timing for Visually Handicapped candidates will be 2 Hours 40 mins. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
Part-II: Personality Test (Interview): Only those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in paper I (or part thereof) and paper-II of the written examination as may be fixed by the Commission at their discretion, will be eligible to appear at the Interview. Paper-II shall be evaluated in respect of only those candidates, who attain the minimum qualifying standard in Paper-I or part thereof as may be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.
Paper-I will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. Paper-II shall be evaluated in respect of only those candidates, who attain the minimum qualifying standard in Paper-I will be evaluated.
Resolution of Tie Cases: In case where more than one candidate secure the equal aggregates marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:-
- Total marks in written examination.
- Marks in Paper-II
- Marks in Paper-I
- Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.
- Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates appear.
