‘Baahubali 2- The Conclusion’ trailer is out. But it seems, director SS Rajamouli has left enough hints to answer the biggest question since the release of ‘Baahubali- The Beginning’ in 2015 — Why Katappa killed Baahubali?. Don’t be surprised, if you find that this question was wrong all along. If the trailer is to be believed, Katappa didn’t kill Amarendra Baahubali!
The last scene of ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’ where Katappa attacks Baahubali from behind has remained stuck in the memories of all fans of this Rajamouli’s gem. We all believed that Katappa killed Baahubali and wondered what would have made him kill his king. The new trailer gives at least two hints to reveal that Katappa didn’t kill him in the first place. He did attack Baahubali from behind, but the latter didn’t die of it. After the attack, Katappa regrets his act but he is assured by Baahubali: “As long as you are by my side, a man who can kill me hasn’t even been born, uncle.” (See the image below).
One can easily guess here that Katappa was made to attack ‘Baahubali’ by Bhalaladeva. One doesn’t yet know the reason, but we can leave that mystery for Rajamouli to reveal.
Towards the end of the movie, a heavily wounded Baahubali is seen taking on Bhalaladeva. This scene is the biggest hint that Baahubali was ultimately killed by Bhalalala and Katappa couldn’t do anything to repent because of his oath to the crown.

‘Baahubali -The Beginning’ had received unprecedented success across the world.
